Legwarmers!

I may be busy with the Christmas schedule just now, but I do have time to share one of my Christmas projects. I'm afraid the rest will have to stay under wraps for now, as I don't want to post any spoilers for the recipients, but these two sets of legwarmers are for my daughters, who don't read the blog, except over my shoulder, and they're enjoying the nice weather today (only -6˚C!).

There! A pair of legwarmers for each of my girls. One pair plain, one pair in spiral rib. Both pairs very colourful in Knit Picks Chroma Worsted. It’s soft, cushy, and has both the good (again, soft and cushy) and bad points (some splitting if not careful, and the yarn thinning down to nearly nothing every so often) that one would expect from a single. I used up every last bit of the two balls of yarn that I had bought. I made both pairs the same size so that they'd last longer (the last few times I have made legwarmers, they came out a bit on the smaller side). The plain ones were very quick, and the spiral ones were tedious, but the results are nice in both cases.

Sorry for such a brief post, but I'd best get back to sewing/baking/weaving in ends/other Christmas preparations! Besides, the kids are back inside already.

  1. So cool! The girls are going to love them, I'm sure.
