Shrug
by Tracey Ullman and Mel Clark, for my mother, knit in Knit Picks Swish DK, colour being Bordeaux.
I'm pleased with this, and I think it looks pretty good on me, which means it must look even better on my mom, as it's more her colour.
It's warm and cozy, which is just what I was looking for, almost like a hug that I could send along to my mom for Mother's Day.
Also, it's a thank-you for not selling me to a traveling circus or something when I was a kid (now that I have kids, I know, knowing me, that you must have wanted to sometimes). Thanks Mom!
How did you get rid of the bat wings?
ReplyDeleteGood question; I think they're still there to some extent, but it minimizes them somewhat if you make the armhole a little on the snug side so that some of the spare fabric from the sides snugs up against the arms a bit. I don't have it handy to look closely at since my mom has it, but I hope that's helpful!
